Peach and Pastel Wedding Flowers Theme
2016 is definitely becoming the year of soft, delicate pastel colours with Pastel wedding flowers appearing all over our Bride’s ‘Pinterest’ boards. So, with Dragana and Paul leaving all design ideas to us we wanted to give them a ‘Right on Trend’ Wilde Bunch interpretation of the “Pastel & Peach’ theme.
The splendid No.38 Boutique Hotel in Clifton, Bristol was the setting for this most intimate of weddings. It was a joyous occasion with the lovely couple and their parents having exclusive use of the hotel for a three day family celebration.
The couple had gathered together a ‘Dream Team’ of local wedding suppliers giving the weekend a wonderful air of calmness where you just know…. ‘It’s going to be Perfect’. (All suppliers are listed below)
The pastel theme is all about soft romantic colours. It’s important to get a balance where no one colour overpowers or dominates the design. The inclusion of an abundance of white sweet-peas helped soften the whole pallet and give the bouquet a delicate ‘natural’ feel.
Using a delicate peach David Austin Rose with Bombastic Rose Buds in the groom’s buttonhole worked perfectly to highlight the David Austin Roses in the brides bouquet. The addition of a simple sprig of Gyp complemented the white elements of the bouquet.
The trail on the brides bouquet was early season Jasmine cut while the buds were still closed to add a delicate hint of pale pink. A small Jasmine sprig also added depth to the groom’s buttonhole.
The Hotel Flower Designs
As the family had exclusive use of the hotel for three days they wanted flowers to feature through-out their stay. Every design from the bedrooms to the lounge to the breakfast room followed the theme of the pastel wedding flowers in the bride’s bouquet.
Designs were used to emphasise unique features of the hotel such as the traditional fireplace with wood burning stove and the rear garden terrace with views across the city.
The Wedding Breakfast Flowers
Now this was an excuse for The Wilde Bunch to ‘Go Wild’ with the table centrepiece. Being a family occassion there was one large table and the bride wanted an exhuberent ‘Show-stopper’ of a design utilising as much of the table as the place settings allowed.
It’s not every day we get the chance to ‘design to the max’ and the results had the Hotel staff and caterers buzzing round the table taking pictures on their mobile phones. Most importantly the bride loved it. Thank-you Dragana for giving us the opportunity to have some fun!!
The simple 3-tier plain white cake fitted the theme perfectly and looked stunning with our soft pastel flower designs giving it a real classic elegance.
